We have been very busy at The Scrapbook Princess over the past month, lots of new stock, two new series of classes that are proving to be extremely popular and stocktaking. It's that time of year again.

Melinda has also decided it's time to sell the business so The Scrapbook Princess is for sale. This is a fantastic opportunity for the dedicated scrapper wanting to take her hobby to the next level. The Scrapbook Princess is an established shop with great brand name recognition in the marketplace. There is the opportunity to expand web opportunities which we have not started. There is also the opportunity to franchise for the true entrepreneur.
The current shop has a 3 year lease option ready to be taken or current space can be downsized in existing centre or easily relocated. Full fit out included. These Fabulous Four classes are extremely popular and are a great way to get your scrapbooking done quickly. With the use of four pieces of pattern paper and a great pattern you will create two eye-catching double page layouts without wasting a single piece. Each class featured different sketches and you don't need to have attended any of the previous classes to start the new ones.

Basic Beginner with Kerryn
Thursday 18th June, 7.00pm - 9.30pm

Have you completed the Beginners class and are not sure what to do next? This book into Beyond Beginners with Kerryn who will show you the next step for scrapbooking. In this class we will explore the use of titles, embellishments and other elements of creating an eye-catching layout. A very informative and hands on class. Just what you need to get those creative juices flowing.

Terrific Trio VII-XII Catch-up with Debi

With a new series of layout classes starting and with the Terrific Trio classes now over this is your last chance to catch up on any of the patterns and layouts you missed from Terrific Trio VII through to Terrific Trio XII. Copy That III - Mere Male with Kerryn

Stunning Singles with Kerryn

Tuesday 28th April 7.00pm - 9.30pm

In this class Kerryn will show you how to create a stunning single page layout featuring one special photo using the beautiful Daisy Bucket range of papers. Kerryn will show you step by step how to create the layout and you will learn how to mix your pattern papers as you scrap. This class is filling fast so book now.

Fabulous Four I with Debi

Wednesday 29th April 9.30am - 12.00

The Terrific Trio classes were such a success we decided to get a bit more adventurous. In this fantastic class yo will create four pages (or two double page layouts) using four pieces of pattern paper. This is a great class to learn how to layer and mix your pattern papers in an eye-catching way.

This class is full but make sure you put your name on the waiting list so we can contact you with new dates for this class.

Creative Card Container with Debi

Thursday 30th April 7.00pm - 9.30pm

With Mother's Day just around the corner, this cute card container is just perfect for a Mother's Day gift. Either make it for your Mum to store the cards she has received or fill it with cards from the Creative Card class the following Thursday night. Fun to make and even more fun to decorate.

In from Collections Elements is a stunning range of A4 transparencies - just perfect to use as overlays or to cut up to use the individual elements. Featuring classic flourishes, lace borders and Europe themes, these transparencies can be used for a huge range of themes. We also have some of Collections Elements new range of chipboard shapes including flourishes, Fleur de lis and a very cute tree and birdhouse. These are sure to sell quickly so don't miss out.

From KaiserCraft we have some of the new coloured rhinestones which are beautiful. These include Island Lagoon, Antique Rose and Wine. Also back in stock are some of the popular colours and pearls.
Also new from KaiserCraft are the rhinestone strips in silver, pink and black. These make applying bling borders a breeze.

The new Mega Masks from Heidi Swapp are a fantastic idea and are sure to sell quickly. If you are not sure how to use masks then book into Donna's "All Things Tim" on Wednesday 13th May to learn how to use them as this is one of the main features of the layout being created. Yeah! New stock has arrived and it is just gorgeous. We now have in stock the Basic Grey Marrakech range of papers and embellishments. With their bold colours and interesting elements these papers will suit a variety of themes.

Also new in from Pink Paislee is the beautiful Captivating and Enchanting ranges. Both these ranges include gorgeous fabric flowers and brads, chipboard elements and letters and very versatile sticker books. The Captivating range is pictured top left.

Announcing the new Queen of the Kit

With all our computer difficulties over the past couple of months we missed announcing last month's Queen of the Kit and it's time to announce this month's winner.

This month's Queen of the Kit is Tara Nardella. Tara managed to make two layouts with this month's kit, one featuring Cousins and the other an Easter layout. Well done Tara.

The winner for February was Maria Pendrigh with her lovely family layout. Congratulations Maria. Both Maria and Tara win their next Royal Stash Kits for free and have their layouts featured on our blogs.

This gorgeous mini album is the perfect way to display your child's school photos from Prep all the way to Year 12. And with pockets on every page you can store their report cards too. In this class you will not only make the album but also decorate it ready to add those precious school day memories.

Welcome back. As some of you are aware we have been experiencing some computer difficulties since the end of last year but fingers crossed we are getting them sorted out. We have updated our blog and given it a small overhaul - lighter and brighter - and are ready to get scrappin'. Kerryn's first class is "Storyboard Layouts" and in this class the very talented Kerryn will show you ways to let your photos tell the story. Where will we put it all????

With more deliveries arriving every week we are quickly running out of space to put all the new stock.

Heaps of new printed Prima Flowers and leaves are now in stock and selling very fast so hurry in so you don't miss out. Prima have also taken all the hard work out of embellishing your layouts with their ready made floral embellishments and borders. Check them out in store.

Prima have also released a beautiful Japanese inspired range of papers and chipboard die-cuts. Great for those travel photos. And to finish off your layouts there are the ornate border and journalling block stamps and transparency tape. For a bit of bling add some of Prima's Say It With Crystals flourishes and borders and cute accents. And that's not all. Prima's acrylic albums are divine with their floral or circle tabs and are very reasonably priced. Another new product is their felt mats in beautiful lace cut designs. Pop in the check them all out before they sell out.

New paper ranges in store from Sweetwater with their beautiful sublte colours and patterns. The "Still Fishing" range is great for camping and fishing layouts, "Basic Black" great for anything and the beautiful "Make Life" range would suit any boy inspired layout.

Just a quick update on our new stock.

The gorgeous new Crate Paper has arrived with matching alphabets, beautiful buttons, ribbon, rub-ons and brads.

Also in store is the bright and beautiful Creative Imaginations, Helen Dardik range including the baby boy and baby girl range.

Another great Creative Imaginations range is the Busted range of papers. Perfect for all those photos of your children/partners etc "caught in the act" - whatever the crime.

Creative Imaginations have also released some great SeaWorld rub-ons and embellishments. Perfect for

any Seaworld layout.

The new Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paints have arrived and the colour range is fantastic. You can now paint and crackle all in one application. The new Texture Hammer is a great tool to age chipboard, papers, metals etc. Gives a great effect. Along with

It's been a while as we have been very busy at The Scrapbook Princess. Heaps of new stock has arrived, our second Royal Stash kit winner has been announced and we have been busy preparing for our Royal Retreat.

Congratulations to Sharon Binch for winning our second Royal Stash Kit layout challenge.

On the first of each month we release the Royal Stash Kit. Simply purchase the kit in store, create a layout and return it to the shop to be displayed and to go into the drawer to win your next kit free. Layouts need to be in store by the 25th of each month.

They have released a range to suit everyone. The new "Sugared" and "Sultry" ranges are pretty and pink with touches of brown and lime greens. Pastel and Bold - something to appeal to everyone. "Archaic" features more browns and blues with a touch of orange in a nice soft palette of colours and "Boxer" has an oriental feel to it with its green, blue and red designs. Great for travel layouts, great for boy layouts, great for anything. "Cupcake" is a great birthday range with cakes, balloons and streamers featured on some of the papers. And it's not limited to birthdays - the ideas are endless. We have had sooooo much new stock over the past two weeks that I don't know where to start.

We now have in stock the beautiful Making Memories Animal Cracker range featuring their pattern papers with holes in them - stars for the boy range and flowers for the girls range. Along with their glitter papers, gloss papers and beautiful patten papers and embellishments this range covers everything you need to create a heart warming baby layout. (Top two images)

Fancy Pants have also released more limited edition paper collections that cover girls, boys, male and female themes. Their matching ribbons and rub-ons complete the ranges along with glitter transparencies to compliment them. The ranges Papa, About A Boy, Sweet Spring and Daydreams all feature beautiful colour combinations, are double sided and co-ordinate beautifully. Don't miss out as these ranges are limited.

Crickey It's Cosmo Cricket

The bold and beautiful new Cosmo Cricket arrived in the shop today and we just love it. There is something for everyone - "Cogsmo" and "Get Happy" are bold fun double-sided papers with a great range of rub-ons, die cut alphabet and shapes, journal blocks and the new "Blackboard" chipboard to compliment it. No longer do we have to paint or ink the edges of our chipboard - it now comes in black. This "Blackboard" is fantastic. Each range of papers has its own Blackboard Alpha set and shape set to match the die-cuts so you can cover it with a die-cut or simply draw and decorate with pencils.

The other two ranges are the heritage style "Fleuriste" with its lovely patterns and muted tones and "Honey Pie" which is a great baby or Easter range. With the matching stickers, "Blackboard" and rub-ons these will sell quickly so make sure you pop into the shop to check them out.

Another new range received today is the
"His & Her Basics" by Cherry Arte. This bold and beautiful paper is double-sided with a touch of femininity and masculinity with its black, red and white colour range.

Also in store today is the new range of American Craft Thickers. We received the new versatile vinyl range, the gorgeous glitter alphabet Thickers and the lovely metallic accents and funky new font. Back in stock are the naked or natural Thicker letters ready for you to colour any way you want.

It's a Challenge

Congratulations to Julie Hill for creating this beautiful layout using our first "Royal Stash" Kit. The challenge is to create a layout using the papers and embellishments found in our "Royal Stash" kits and bring it into the shop. You will go into the draw to receive your next "Royal Stash" kit for free and have your layout on display.

Our next "Royal Stash" Kit will be released on the first of April and your layouts need to be in the shop by the 25th.

Are you up to the challenge?? This is a great way to experiment with papers and embellishments you would never choose and it is exciting to see the end result.

A Huge Hello

We have a few new staff members, here at the Scrapbook Princess, and with our new ladies comes a wealth of scrapbooking knowledge and experience as well as a huge amount of enthusiasm. These ladies are full of wonderful ideas and suggestions and are happy to assist you in any way with your scrapbooking needs. So pop into the shop to say a huge hello to Peta, Jan and Alana. What's On This Week - 18 February
We have a great range of classes on the calendar for this week including the beautiful "Flirt with Fabrics 1" with Lorna on Wednesday night at 6.30pm. This class features the use of felt on your layouts and Lorna has created a stunning layout showing how to use this versatile fabric. Come along and be inspired.

It's Donna's day on Saturday and she is featuring two delightful and informative classes. "All that Glitters is Not Gold" is filled with glitter and shine and is a great class showing you how to add a bit of sparkle and glamour to your pages. Learn creative techniques to enhance your pages with the wonderful range of glitter products available.

If you haven't yet scrapped your back to school photos then Saturday's afternoon class is for you. In "Back to School" you will create a fun double page layout to cature your child's feelings about starting or returning to school. Learn some great techniques and create a beautiful layout.

And don't forget our "Queens of the Crop" on Friday night from 7pm to midnight. Come along for a great night of fun and laughter, scrapbooking and creative inspiration. Our Friday night crops are a great social night and a chance to finish off those unfinished projects or start new ones. Look forward to seeing you there.

Tool Time

Exciting news - we are having a Tools of the Trade night next Tuesday,12 February, from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. This is a FREE event and a great night not to miss. We will be demonstrating old and new tools, show you how to use them and what they are used for and give you a chance to have a play. This is a great class not only for beginners but for advanced scrappers too.

We are also repeating one of our popular classes by Donna Potter. Donna's "Fancy Stitches" class has been a huge success and you have one more chance to attend this inspiring class. This class is based on one of Donna's layouts that was featured in Scrapbook Creations in 2007, Volume 6 No 5. Spaces are filling fast so come along, learn a new technique and be inspired.

A Stitch in Time

Another new arrival and we couldn't wait to share it. "In Stitchz" by Bazzill is a great range of stitching templates. Each set contains four templates with 6-9 designs and come in a great range of themes including In the Garden, Totally Boy, Flourishes, Granny Stitches and Silly Stitches plus many more. These make stitching on your scrapbook pages soooooo easy. And with their matching In Stitchz Floss and Needles it is even easier to match the thread with the Bazzill cardstock. What more do we need????

What we need is pre-punched Bazzill cardstock ready to stitch and Bazzill have done that too. Flowers, Hearts, Stars and Scallops have been pre-punched on a variety of Bazzill cardstock, in a range of colours, ready to stitch with their matching In Stitches Floss. Bazzill have certainly thought of everything. Aren't we lucky.

A Touch of Class

Another week has flown past and this week we'll give you a glimpse of the upcoming classes.

Flower Frenzy by Debi will be held on Thursday, 31 January from 6.30pm - 9pm. Book in now to learn how to create these beautiful flowers, a great feature for the special layout.

Basic Beginner with Briohny is a great class for those wanting to begin this wonderful craft. Friday 1 February 6.30pm - 9pm.

Unfinished Business on Saturday from 9.30am - 2.30pm is a great chance to finish off those unfinished layouts and Briohny will be on hand to offer any assistance.

Samples for all our classes are on display in the store and class booking is easy. You can book and pay by phone or pop into the shop to see us. The majority of our classes cost $15 and payment is required when booking. Our classes our filling fast so make sure you book.

Classes are not only a great source of inspiration they are also great social event. A great place to make new friends and catch up with old ones. We look forward to seeing you at the Scrapbook Princess.

Another exciting arrival is the Tim Holtz Grungeboard. "Grungeboard is a compressed flexible sheet of dingy material with a debossed texture that can be painted, inked, sanded, hammered or grunged" - in other words it's great fun to play with and there is so much you can do with it. It resembles chipboard but is extremely flexible and comes in a great range of embossed textures. To see Tim Holtz demo this product visit his website www.TimHoltz.com and click on demos. The new class calendar is out and the classes look very inspiring and informative. We have a great group of teachers with very different scrapbooking styles so there is sure to be something to appeal to everyone. Some of the class samples are already in store so be sure to pop in and check them out. We will also be giving you glimpses of upcoming classes every week so watch this spot.

Welcome back to another update of what's been happening at the Scrapbook Princess.
You asked for it and we got it for you. Australian pattern papers and rub-ons. This beautiful "Been There Done That" range has arrived and features every Australian State. Each state has its own title paper featuring different highlights of each state (Brisbane featured in photo), a paper featuring each capital city and a range of papers highlighting unique things about each state. All the papers are double-sided and the backs are just as beautiful as the fronts. There are also a beautiful range of rub-ons to go with each state including icon rub-ons and small alphabet rub-ons.

Bigger and Better

Wow, here we go. With a lot of help from Briohny we are now able to add to our Scrapbook Princess Blog and will be doing so on a weekly basis to keep you all up to date with what is happening in our store. Our website is currently under construction and until it is ready to go this will be the place to visit. We will be uploading photos of upcoming classes, new products and some of the beautiful work from our design team. We will also introduce you to our teachers, design team members and staff over the coming weeks.

With everyone back from holidays it is down to business and our goal is to make our customers happy with our classes, range of products and friendly service. We are here to help you preserve and scrapbook your memories - big and small. And to make it a fun and enjoyable process.
While scrapbooking is all about the photos and preserving those memories it is also a great creative outlet and the social side of scrapbooking is an added advantage. Our Monday crop days are now a hive of activity and there is still room for more eager scrappers. Monday crops go from 9.30am to 4.30pm and are a great way to catch up on your scrapbooking. A warm hello to all the princesses out there! What a wonderful scrapfest we had last weekend raising money for Breast Cancer research, celebrating our 1st birthday and having a fantastic guest teacher in Rachelle Minett.

Thanks so much to all the ladies that helped make last weekend such a great weekend for everyone.

Check you guys out! Sunday saw an introduction to our new design team members and our new teachers. As well as this we handed out some great lucky shopper prizes including the coveted pink dressing gown!

Debi, our instore guru on all things gadgets, demonstrated some very flash new machines for you all to try at our fortnightly crops. The 'Bind It All' was a favourite by far. Ros, our circle cutter wiz had it all going on, while the rest of the princesses provided the 'how-to' on some of their stunning layouts.

Which of course leads us to this blog. We thought it would be a great way for you, our customers, to be a part of the princess world.

We will be adding sneak peeks of classes, the what's-going-on in the store, class timetables and other useful bits and pieces.
